Pantene Pro-V Intensive Repair

Pantene has introduced a new era of shampoos with Anti-Oxidant technology that helps reduce the daily oxidative damage that all hair faces. Although there are many sources of oxidants – from environmental oxidant (e.g. UV light), or chemical treatments such as peroxides – this technology stems from the discovery that this oxidative process is amplified by an unsuspected source, copper, found in everyone’s wash water. This technology works to help preserve the health of hair, as it targets, captures and helps to neutralize excessive copper impurities in hair. Reducing copper helps prevent the formation of free radicals, and reduces the fracture and erosion of hair’s vital proteins.

I’ve tested Pantene Pro-V Intensive Repair products for two weeks, and you can see the results in the photos.

I really like the new formula of the shampoo. It’s creamy, so it doesn’t dry out the hair, and it cleans the scalp really well; better than some common drugstore shampoos.

The formula of the Intensive Repair conditioner has also changed. I’ve used the conditioner as well, because it preserves the keratin, so the two of them have been responsible for the shine and the healthier look of my hair.

However, the formula of the conditioner is not strong enough for complete care of my hair. My hair is bleached, so it’s really dry and it needs stronger treatments, such as 2 Minutes Intensive Repair Masque from the same collection. Two years ago, I reviewed it and I can still say that this is one of the best drugstore hair masks. It has changed its look (the packaging is now white and gold), but its quality is the same. After use, my hair is really soft and smooth.

I’ve heard so many amazing things about Pantene. I’m yet to try any of their products but know I need too. Your hair looks beautiful and healthy!

most conditioner is insufficient for my bleached hair too..i always use mask as conditioner..

Unfortunately, Pantene and my hair does not play well with each other. More hair fall and a greasy scalp. I do love their scents though.

i haven’t tried their new formulation, but for their old formulation, i feel that they’re pretty average but with an amazingly nice smell!
