BareMinerals is a mineral cosmetic line by company Bare Escentuals. Bare Escentuals is on the market since 1976, but has experienced a boom in 1995 with the mineral line.
BareMinerals products are a combination of preparative and decorative cosmetics. They are made of pure minerals and do not contain alcohol, perfumes, talc or preservatives. That’s why they’re suitable for sensitive skin, as well as for all skin types.
BareMinerals ORIGINAL SPF 15 Foundation looks like a powder but, when applied, starts to melt. It is much lighter than liquid foundations and it gives a natural look. Also, its SPF 15 protects skin against aging caused by sunlight.
Right brush is needed for the application. Without a good brush, the application doesn’t go very smoothly. Poor quality brush can irritate the skin and it’s possible that powder doesn’t blend well, so you get a cakey appearance. The secret is in application formula: Swirl – Tap – Buff.
So, after you put a small amount of powder on the inside of the lid, swirl the brush to pick up powder. Then, get rid of excess by tapping on the edge of the lid, and in a circular motion, buff the powder on your face.
It is great that this foundation can be used as a concealer, when you use appropriate brush.
This foundation, as well as the brand, is not well-known in Croatia, but it is very popular in the United States. This is confirmed by the numerous awards that has won. On their site you can find 14 awards listed!
