Dahliana Naturals Overnight Fruit Lift crème* (review)

Last year I tried several very good creams, but I will only mention the best one. Dahliana Naturals Overnight Fruit Lift is much more than a cream. It’s a moisturizer, but at the same time a peeling and a mask. Its uniqueness lies in the excellent ingredients. It is made of fine, almost entirely natural ingredients, and many of them are organic. By using this product, the skin becomes lighter, brighter and fresher in a short period time.

Foreo Luna*

Since cleansing devices are expensive, you should think wisely which one to choose. One of them is Foreo Luna device with which you can hardly go wrong. With the T-Sonic™ (transdermal Sonic) method, cleans the face. Also, it has an anti-aging function. This is an excellent product that reborn my skin in short period of time – the skin became very bright, fresh and smooth. In addition, once charged, the device will stay charged for months! The fact that you do not need to carry a charger, as well as that it is very lightweight, makes it ideal for travels.

NIVEA In-Shower*

Body conditioners are a true revolution in body care. They are time savers, because you don’t have to wait that skin absorbs them. Because of the easy application, you will no longer have an excuse to skip the final stage in body care in the morning. My fave one is Cocoa & Milk, because of the scent. This is a great product for daily use and, if you don’t have very dry skin, In-Shower will provide you adequate hydration.

CHANEL N°5* (review)

I am very picky when it comes to fragrances. I like many, but there are only a few that I wear. This classic is one of them. Its characteristics are: purity, femininity, sexiness, sophistication.

GUERLAIN Terracotta Moisturising Bronzing Powder

It took me so long to try this product, but I finally bought it and was delighted with my purchase. :x It is finely milled, perfectly blends with skin… In a word, it is – perfect. It also smells wonderfully and I would love to own the bottle of that fragrance. :) I bought it here+.

Dior Diorskin Nude Tan Transat Edition Golden Shimmer Powder (review)

It looks fabulous and it does wonders. The look of this product is sufficient for it to be found on this list, but it also provide beautiful glow to the skin. Dior always has amazing limited collection products, and so it was last summer.

The best of 2014: Chanel N°5, Guerlain Terracotta & Dior Diorskin Nude Tan Transat Edition Golden Shimmer Powder

L’OCCITANE en Provence Iris Angelica Sublime Beauty Cream*

Blends beautifully into my skin, giving it a natural effect, but at the same time embellishing it. The skin becomes smooth and well hydrated. The shade I got is 01 Light (it should be noted that it is darker than what would be expected by its name).

Maybelline New York SuperStay Better Skin foundation* (review)

I was pleasantly surprised with some of Maybelline products. One of them is Superstay Better Skin foundation which is long-lasting and provides medium to strong coverage. It feels lightweight on the skin and, despite of the coverage, looks very natural.

Maybelline New York Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner 24h

Maybelline New York Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliners I used frequently in last months. I usually wore Brown, a beautiful brown shade that contains some bronze tones (I wore it here) and Intense Black, an intense black shade with matt finish (I wore it here). They have a good pigmentation and their soft texture glides on eyelids like melted pencils. They come with a brush that provide simple application.

Ultra Violet does not belong to this list. The shade is beautiful, but it’s not easy applicable. It takes a lot of effort for one decent line, which can be a problem, especially to beginners. Obviously there is a problem with the purple pigment, because it is not unusual that gel eyeliner in that color doesn’t work well.

I bought them here: Intense Black+, Brown+ and Ultra Violet+.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade Blonde & Large Synthetic Duo Brush #12

I’ve already mentioned how great both products are. Brush is really superb and with its two ends provides a great application, while Dipbrow Pomade is creamy, pigmented and long-lasting (I wore it here and here). A great combination. I bought them here+.

Rimmel New Moisture Renew Lipstick 700 Nude Delight

Ever since I bought it, I was very loyal to this lipstick. I wore it often. I must mention that it is not long-lasting at all. Its light texture will not last more than 2 hours, but it still amazed me. What I liked the most about it is the shade, which is one of those that suit my skin tone the best. Also, it has a wonderful, creamy texture that provides comfort and moisturizes the lips. In addition, the price is affordable, and I bought it here+.

PUPA Milano nail polishes (review)

Last year I discovered Pupa nail polishes and it’s such a shame that I didn’t know about them before. They are amazing! Their texture, brush, pigmentation, durability – all at a high level. They come in a small bottles which is a great thing, because makes them affordable. I tried nail polishes from Lasting Color Gel and Velvet Matt collections and was delighted with both. In particular, the shades that I tried are: 026 California Soul (Gel) and 005 Nude (Velvet Matt).

Eylure false lashes

The best of 2014: Eylure false lashesI have been wearing Eylure lashes for years. They are amazing and I usually buy the ones that look natural on eyes. In the last two posts (here and here), you could see me wearing N°035 Lengthening, and here I wore Girls Aloud Cheryl lashes. I bought them here: N°035+ and Cheryl+.

MAC Cosmetics

I tried many MAC products in 2014. They were not available in Croatia, so it was really hard to buy them. The great thing is that on January 23rd, 2015 MAC opened the store in Croatia. Finally! This time I will not feature specific products, but the groups of great products:

I’ve tried 4 shades (Ravishing, Yash, Ruby Woo and Red). There are minor differences in quality due to the shade, but all are very good to excellent. What connects them is the quality of texture and very good staying power and pigmentation. I wore Ruby Woo here.

Peaches and Frankly Scarlet both have a matt finish. Besides the shade, they differ in pigmentation. I prefer lighter pigmentation of Peaches. Peach shades are my favorite, so this was a big hit for me. I bought Frankly Scarlet because of the beautiful red shade that was missing in my collection. It looks beautiful on the cheeks, but be careful with this one due to the high pigmentation. I wore them here and here.

Pro Longwear Paint Pots
Paint Pots are eye colors, but they are much more than that. They can serve as an excellent base. These creamy products have incredible texture. They completely smoothen my eyelids and their staying power is amazing! I have Soft Ochre and Bare Study shades. I wore them here and here.

L’Oréal Paris i Douglas

The brands that pleasantly surprised me in 2014 are: L’Oréal Paris and Douglas.

L’Oréal has launched the perfect collection of lipsticks which confirmed the brands place among the best drugstore brands, but also showed that their quality is aligned with high-end products. I tried L’Extraordinaire by Color Riche lip colors* (review). They are combination of lipsticks, glosses and balms. I love them, but that is not L’Oreal’s collection of the year – the Color Riche Collection Exclusive Pure Reds* is. These lippies are long-lasting, highly pigmented, and have an amazing texture. :x

The best of 2014: Pure Reds

I usually go to the Douglas perfumeries to buy some high-end brands, so I was glad that last year I had the opportunity to try the products which they produce and the ones that they exclusively import. Many of them have high quality textures and effects, so they are worth of your attention. The products that I liked the most are: Seathalasso Deep Sea Salt Scrub*, Douglas SUN Self Tanning Milk*, Douglas Absolute Summer Affair 38 nail polish* and Baratti White musk shower gel*.

Dec 092014

I have received several Catrice and essence new products. In this post, I bring you short reviews of some of them. I used the same products for the creation of today’s look.

Catrice Nude Illusion Foundation 020 Rose Vanilla
This foundation provides radiant look, while has a velvety finish. An interesting combination, because the face is illuminated, but the finish is matte. The texture is creamy, slightly foamy and it’s very lightweight. Provides light to medium coverage. The formula is not lasting enough and soaks into pores, so it makes them more visible.

essence Lash Princess mascara
Excellent mascara that won me with its long-lasting formula. Does not crumble at all and looks the same after several hours of wear. I like the brush, because it separates the lashes. Provides solid curling and visually lengthens lashes. Mascara which I like to use for daily make-up.

essence effect eyeshadow 06 UK’s Stonehenge
Very beautiful, shiny, creamy eyeshadow. The formula has good lasting properties and it’s easy to apply.

essence liquid ink high shine eyeliner
As its name suggests, this is a eyeliner with high shine finish. It has a very precise applicator that provides easy application.

essence soo blush! 10 sweet as peach
This blush is the one that I would probably skip in drugstore because it’s creamy, as I usually use powder ones, and it’s housed in unattractive packaging. But the shade is beautiful! Its creamy texture provides a natural look, but because of the texture easily fades from the face. Nevertheless, it’s worth buying because it is really beautiful. Such a soft shade, that refreshes the appearance of the entire face.

Catrice Beautifying Lip Smoother 010 Sweet Caramel
It looks so nice and it has pleasant, sweet taste. Lip balm that beautifies lips like lip gloss and that won me completely, so I will certainly buy it often.

Feb 142013

Twenty years after launching the iconic Touche Éclat, Yves Saint Laurent introduced innovative technology that brings the magic of the brightening illuminator. Since I use Touche Éclat for years, I immediately liked the idea of a product that is inspired on it. And I was right, Le Teint Touche Éclat fulfilled my expectations. :)

It has very light texture and feels very light on the skin. Only a few drops are needed to cover the entire face and to achieve a natural look. To get the best results, use a quality brush. Lloyd Simmonds, creative makeup director of YSL, designed a brush for this foundation that provides easy, professional application. Unfortunately, I have not tried it, so my recommendation goes to Shiseido Perfect Foundation Brush and Sigma Beauty F80. This foundation has a tendency to accentuate some skin irregularities, such as dryness. That can be the case with light foundations (such as Dior Nude foundation), but with quality brush you can minimize it.

The main task of Le Teint Touche Éclat is to illuminate the skin and it fulfills its purpose. The face is lighted and there’s no mask effect. It refreshes a tired face and has a refreshing scent as well (smells like violets). On my normal skin type stays on for a good number of hours, but I’m not sure would it be the same with oily skin. It provides low to medium coverage and it evens out the skin.

The range of shades is great and you can choose the right one based on your skin undertone. The B20 is designed for neutral undertone, while shades for yellow undertones begin with BD (e.g. BD20) and for pink ones with BR (e.g. BR20).

This lipstick has definitely the most luxurious package which contains two mirrors. The G Rouge has great texture and long-lasting formula. It’s fantastic! Review is coming up soon! :)

YSL Rouge Pur Couture #5 Beige Etrusque

I am amazed with the creamy texture, and the color is perfect as well. I finally found a beige shade that I really like with the unquestionable quality of the formula.

The foundation for my taste – gives a radiant look with a low to medium coverage. I’ll review it soon!

Amazing product for the care of cuticles. My cuticles used to be very sensitive in winter days, but after the care with this cream, they managed to survive even a harsh manicure. Also, I love the intense citrus scent. :)

Nivea Nourishing Body Milk For Dry Skin

This is one of those products that I buy over and over again. It’s great for winter body care.

Biotherm Skin Vivo Eyes

Lately, I use this eye cream for the prevention of wrinkles. I like its gel texture which provides radiance.
