Brazened Honey is my first Lush fresh face mask. Lush claims that their masks are handmade from fresh fruits and vegetables, carefully selected herbs, essential oils and the finest natural cleansing clays, without preservatives.

I decided to try Brazened Honey, because most Lush masks are designed for oily, dry or sensitive skin and my skin really does not have any special requirements. So my choice was narrowed down to three masks (the other two are Ayesha and The Sacred Truth).

Purpose of this mask is to refresh and detoxify tired face and to give it back its glow. Contains Ayurvedic herbs and fresh fruit juices mixed with honey. Should be left on face for 5 – 10 minutes.

I am very pleased with it, because it is really effective. It tightens the face when applied, and when washed out face remains slightly tightened and fully refreshed. Contains ground almonds, so it has grainy texture. That means you can use it as a scrub, too. After use, the face looks radiant and refreshed.

The only thing I did not like is the scent. Lush shops and all of their products that I have ever tried have a wonderful scent, so I was unpleasantly surprised with the mask. However, with time I got used to it, and its efficiency beat the smell.

The good thing about the fresh masks is the fact that they are fresh and do not contain preservatives, but therein lies one flaw. They can only last one month, during which you need to keep them in refrigerator. So I used it very often, but my face did not mind. After every application I was amazed with the radiance of the skin which was achieved in just few minutes. Be sure to try it out! :)

Purifying Mask is designed for oily to combination skin to eliminate excess oil, impurities and shine. It is also stated that soothes and gently tightens the skin. It is enriched with Lava Minerals, Bisabolol and Vitamin E.

The mask comes in a two-part package, which means that it will serve you for at least 2 applications, but the total amount of 15 ml (0.5 fl. oz.) is sufficient for 4 applications, even if it is generously applied. It has to be left on for 2 – 3 minutes and then gently rinsed off with water. It is recommended to use it 2 times a week.

I am very pleased with the effect. After application, the skin it soft, smooth and clean. Although it is primarily designed for oily to combination skin, my normal skin type also love it. It doesn’t dry out the skin. Also, it smells nice and has interesting color.

I definitely recommend that you try it, even if you don’t have oily or combination skin. If you do, please share was it effective to you.
